Medium gold Aromatics medium. Spice, beeswax, vanilla, jasmine. Oxidative notes. All tertiary with no fruit Palate has linear but flabby mildly oxidative mouth feel. Acidity medium +. Mild phenolics. Alcohol medium. Bruised pears also lime related acidity. Finish has medium length. Balanced Dry glass notes of musty wood Found in Dad's cellar. Didn't expect much at this age, but interesting to try. Acid still there. Drink now

From 75cl, nasty glued-together composite "cork". On opening: intensely vigorous SB scent, livelier than many a Kiwi SB, floral and pungent. Yes!! Thereafter the entry, alas, is a shock: sledgehammer-bitter minerality on a slightly glycerine-fat base; mid-palate not very pleasant as a result; short watery finish. Two hours later: the killer nose is dead; the palate more innocuous; the finish as empty as ever. Drink up; pop and pour, chill well, and this is an acceptable value at 12 € retail. (84-)85P

Very pale straw coloured with a powerful, ripe tropical nose. Crisp and refreshing but full of ripe tropical fruit. Well handled and not overbearing, with a nice weighty lanolin note coming through on the finish. Enjoyable to drink.
