Decanted for 2 hours. very dark with light rims. nose: sweet cherries, a little bit od tomatoes. taste: fresh, fantastic tanins, medium accidity, not ripe dark fruits, spicy. To grilled beef - superb - tanins do fantastic job. Very nice bottle.

South West France Journey; 5/30/2010-6/19/2010 (South West France): Consumed at Auberge Claverie at Audaux. Charming little place full of pensioners, however, the food as well as wines and the people were really very much enjoyable. The portions here were so huge, that I barely could finish my EUR25 dinner menu. All I remember is that the wine fit well to everything except the strange vegetable soup. If you happen to be here, take Canard with this Irouleguy, it's amazing. Cheers!

Aroma: cocoa, chunky dried fruit Palate: teeth coating, plummy, black olives, dusty, chewy, dense, bramble berry, a slightly harsh note. Very good
