Smokey bacon aroma, not unlike an Autumnal bonfire. Fruit very baked. Spirity. Herbaceous and savoury palate. Spicy and hot. A little difficult to drink, especially the last glass. But that may be because it was the 2nd bottle of the night!

Not so good as previous bottles. Very bold fruit forward wine. But somewhat metallic/chemical. Think the alcohol is coming through much more. Slightly out of balance and awkward.

Predominantly Shiraz, which becomes obvious with the powerful scent of black pepper. Tho' fruit is also very perfumed which gives it a real freshness and lift; maybe the Viognier? Aside from that it is jam packed with brambley fruit and spice. The combined effect of the high alcohol content and the spice makes it a bit of a monster - wouldn't recommend this as a quaffer. But may be a winner with some BBQ sausages.

Over-extracted, drying finish.

Dense, peppery. Benefits from decanting. Not an easy drinker.
