My last bottle and they don't make it anymore. So sad. Rivers nailed this wine. It speaks of Howell Mountain and brings that special crushed stone quality that I enjoy from Forman and Arkenstone but also with fully ripe fruit. This wine is balanced and the tannins are fine and integrated. It will drink well for another few years but is really hitting on all cylinders now.

Drinking great here. Forest floor and truffle notes have grown but dark fruit still remains. We decanted and drank over three hours with lamb chops. Perfect! Sweet oak is there until about an hour and then unfolds into more subtle tobacco flavors with just a touch of heat guessing alcohol is pushing 15%

Beautiful wine. Needs air and decanting. Layers of flavors: earth, fruit, some smoke and spice. I have other notes on this wine, and frankly it's holding in a kind of stasis with slight forest floor and some truffle developing on the late palate but I'd expected more since my last tasting.

Wonderful wine with great minerality and brooding fruit. Drinking well here, little to know herbaceousness. This taste like fruit on a vine in the sun. There wine still doesn't have any forest floor or Bret developing, and with only three bottles left I'm not sure mine will age enough to get it. This wine still tastes young and will be good for more than a decade.

New World Blind Tasting Group $40+ (Bin 75): Black core with garnet rim, very highly extracted; nutty, black fruit, espresso, chocolate; big, dark, soft tannin, American oak, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, lower acid; hedonistic but tasty.
