  • PnP then followed over 4 days.
    Medium-light garnet red, clear.
Oak is quite present on the nose, but also with some nice fruit (raspberries) and a beginning of some evolution (forest floor, mushrooms). On day 4 the oak had better integrated with a more natural expression of the fruit and some spices.
On the palate lively acidity, blood oranges, with a bitter twist towards the finish. I think the tannins one feels are mostly from the oak, and really seem to be artificial. Again on day 4, they were felt much less.
Yes, on day 4 it drank quite well, and was all on a blood orange expression of the fruit. Next bottle at least in two years.

  • Very nice, elegant nose: wild strawberries, well integrated oak, elder flowers.
The palate starts with sweet red berries, then seems to fade a bit before it comes back with more intensity and complexity - a hint of caramel and just a bit of bitterness. Lively and well balanced.

  • Tasted blind with other five wines of the area and same vintage and two other pinot noir. Typical nose, with well integrated oak and the elder flowers which are the signature of the area. Fine palate, also typical, with good equilibrium and freshness. Not very exciting though.
