Consumed over 2 days (vacuvined), note from day 2. Nose: Medium expressiveness, ripe raspberry and black berry, white pepper, and jolly rancher candy with a noticeable alcohol driven burn (15.6% ABV). Palate: Medium-full bodied, creamy mouth-fee helps to balance the high ABV, cherry and raspberry attack with spice, enough acidity left on this 9 year old wine to bring some balance through the mid-palate, back-end is dominated by jolly rancher candy and heat from the alcohol. There are wild extremes here but, in a weird way, it is in balance - very port like.

2nd to last of 6, really liked earlier, but no tasting notes, now in Nov 2015, light color, big chocolate dusty nose, vintage port-like in front of mouth and menthol brush in back, slightly acidic and tart finish, the finish brings it down a bit for me, and while I like brush, I don't recall this when it was fresher, going to drink last soon, still enjoyable now

I was being too generous before. Jay Miller rated some stinkers and this is one of them. Thank goodness this was the last bottle and I poured down the drain.
