Really nice. Red fruits (particularly delicious cherry fruit), firm tannins, minerality, and a light touch of oak. The CT average is $16-17, which is a really great QPR for a wine like this. The restraint and fruit profiles remind me of Ridge Bdx-blend wines with perhaps a bit more oak.

TR. Slightly translucent garnet red. Oak, vanilla, and blueberry nose. Light bodied, tart cherries, cranberries, leather, soft tannins, and a short finish. I expected more.

From 50ml tasting bottle. I feel like I can taste the components in this, even if they aren't actually in it! At first taste I could pick out the Merlot, but later I was getting some nice Zin notes. Tannins and acidity suggest this could last a while and develop nice secondary characteristics. Good, but not awesome.

Not impressive, but very nice. First thing it hits you with a zing of tart acidity, but after getting some air the mountain fruits begin to shine through, almost similar to the Chappellet Mountain cuvee. Needs a breathe at this point, and likely has a decent shelf life given the acidity. For $40 at a restaurant, a bargain.

At first tasted the Merlot and vanilla , but later the wine displayed mixed berries and enough acidity to hold up for a few years.Very good value.
