This is a 14.7%abv Sauv Blanc from Santa Barbara County. The Foxen wines are always nice, and this one is no exception. Notes of lemon zest and honey-drizzled green apples on the nose, with a hint of wet gravel on the end to add some complexity to the nose. The palate shows great freshness and verve, with taut acidity and gravely citrus fruits, with a persistent, almost stinging finish that last 20-30 secs. This is a fabulous example of a Sauv Blanc from Calif, and should drink well another 2 years. Wish I had more...

Straw yellow with medium/heavy viscosity in the glass. Buttered popcorn, citrus, mowed grass, and green apple on the nose. Full bodied on the palate with loads of citrus (grapefruit & pineapple) along with minerality. Secondary oak and puckering apple. Good structure. Pleasantly lingering and mouth filling tart finish.
