Winebow Trade Tasting (Palomar Hotel): Despite being their higher end cuvee, I think the only difference I could sense was it saw more time in oak. The wine was a bit gloppy with butter and smoke. No thanks.

Light gold with green flecks, this vintage of the Lugana Riserva shows rich, powerful aromas of baking spices, apricot, baked pears, vanilla, meyer lemon rind, and a bit of alcohol. Full bodied and very unctuous, there is nice acidity to balance the palate that shows replays from the nose and a nice mineral streak. Moderate-long finish, ~30-40s, with baked pear and vanilla notes. Really nice. Drink now-2012.

Deep and rich, bit chardonayesque.
