At tasting. Brief note. Pours a muddied red in the glass. Nose and palate show a lovely musty floral perfume like the potpourri bowl at your grandma's house, fine juicy red berries, sandalwood and nutmeg. Midpalate is lacy and airy with the florals accenting the woodsy and red fruit notes throughout. Finish is medium with persistent florals and seductive sandalwood-perfumed red berries.

Muddy burgundy color; great shape with this with a wet pot-pouri aspect, desiccating flowers, old small forest berries; lovely on the palate, tannins almost completely gone, nice balanced acidity and good finish. Was not expecting this to be this good.

Lost my formal notes, so this is from memory: One of my last bottles of WS purchased on release during my CA days. This had some creamy fruit and earth, but also some green peppery thing. Palate had some fruit, and solid acid. Others liked it more than I did - I though it was just OK. probably 14/20.

Rather fading and a bit acidic. Moved on to other bottles !

nose a bit woody, dirty and vegetal - not unpleasant though
light, some dusty spiciness. On the way down but still got some life in it
