Rich fruits, ripe but with a good degree of freshness. Sweet and full, good intensity and balance. There are some florals and still a signature from the oak. Needs a blood rare steak.

Medium-light crimson color. Nose and palate both remain quite secondary. This has abundant, concentrated aromas and flavors of sweet, ripe red fruit, with only the vaguest hint of spice. There is a subtle but persistent note of green stems throughout this. Simplistic and buxom, this drinks easily in the manner of California Merlot. In retrospect, my cellar door impressions were overly enthusiastic. You might consider this a cautionary illustration of the dangers of palate fatigue and "in situ" tasting.

Tasted at the Cellar Door. Along with the Orphan Bank Shiraz, our favorite of the tasting. A very fine expression of this varietal, with a balance of power and grace. Want to give it 5 years to shed tannins and then hopefully revel in the range of fruit and spice flavors on display currently.

Purple to deep red in colour. The nose has rich vanillin oak, plum and cherry fruit. The tannins are velvety and well integrated with both fruit and oak. The palate has cooked meats, plum , cedar and raspberry. The structure of the wine is seamless and there is excellent length on the finish. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink by 2015)

Outstanding example of a Barossa grenache from a decent vintage. Full of fruit & spice. Drinking well alone or with food.
