My last bottle, thankfully it is not completely flat like my previous two. No decanter, integrated well but it is not overly fragrant which I now realise is due to the fruit being gone. Pleasant enough but such a shame to have let this one slip, regretful and a schoolboy error to own a cellar and let wines expire as such....

Strange, this bottle was past its best, previous bottles had not shown the same signs. The wine collapsed in the decanter after being open for about 45 mins. Will drink my remaining 2 ASAP and will not decanter.

Picked up a dozen cleanskins for $18 a bottle. Decanted for an hour before tasting, the wine started opening up after 2 hours. Dark crimson red, touch of purple, no signs there of being over cooked yet. Not an overly strong bouquet, struggled to find anything noticeable that stood out. It is very concentrated. A firm wine, full bodied and strong, however finish is medium with no distinct after taste. Overall though, quite pleasant and easy drinking, perhaps go well with red meat pasta. Kinda a non event this wine, leaves me wondering if I should wait another year or so before trying another, maybe it will open up a little. Perhaps Jacobs Creek knew, hence only available as a cleanskin, or because 2002 was so well received?

Lost its taste. Cork fine. Not off. But no fruit. Drinkable, just. What to do with the others? Too good for gravy maybe baby.
