Decanted for about an hour. A bit simple and tight at first but it opened up over a couple hours and started to show some earthy, leathery notes. Lots of fruit, and life, left in this wine. I enjoyed it with braised short ribs.

I love this wine! Deep dark cherry fruit with earth, cocoa, leather and dried herbs. It is a pretty dense Brunello, but it still has a nice texture. There is a hint of rusticity. The tannins are dusty and aren't necessarily integrated and refined, but somehow they work with this wine. This is a big and dense Brunello that is still light on its feet. It is drinking nicely now, but I think with some time it can become even more harmonious.
Wonderful with lamb and basil ragu on lumache pasta.

A nice example of a lighter brunello. Ruby red color with very floral aromas along with some red berry fruits and hints of earthiness. Nicely balanced with bright acidity that makes it a good wine for tomato based italian cuisine. Finish is lacking a bit as the acidity takes over a little too quickly.

Nicely aged. Dark fruit and charcoal smooth. Not as bold or elegant as a riserva should be but elevates above rank and file Brunello.
