I enjoyed this very much, had with sausage and garlic pizza, heavy on the garlic and also pretzel chips the following night . I would say this is my $20 go to wine! I'll open my bottle of overture to compare, but if memory serves me right, this is better (an cheaper).
Allow to open but I agree it's best consumed now. Will buy two more bottles, one to age for a year, the other, for two.
Very one dimensional Cab. Some nose of dark fruits & alcohol. No real finish, had some oak, but longer open, it turned into cherry cough syrup. Had with a salty steak, so the sweetness off set the saltiness.
Drinking pretty well at this time. I did not pick up anything distinctive on the smell. The finish was good but short. Smooth and not as deep as a typical Napa Cab, but I like the mix of merlot and petit verdot in this wine. A good QPR in the $15-$18 range.
