I disagree with the other posts regarding this wine. I find this to be a great QPR wine. It is similar to a lambrusco, but is a still wine. Yes, it's sweet. That just means it needs to be served in the right context, as an aperatif, or with fresh young cheeses. It went perfectly with a ricotta and raw beet salad (yellow beets, which are bitter when raw). The nose is fresh, with interesting cola notes. It has a medium palate, and a moderate finish that is helped by the residual sugar.

Overly sweet, almost musty or mildewy smell, definitely should not be consumed without food. We'll be avoiding this in the future.

Non-descript and all grape juice with sweet delivery. Not very distinctive even for a dessert wine or a apertif selection.
