A very surprising bottle... extremely enjoyable, though not the most complex aged wine that I've had. Color indicates that it could wait for 2014 (the 21 year gimmick), but quite frankly, if you like a little, if any, soft tannin on the finish (though you need to hold on the palate a little to even get that out), you better drink now. It is a very niced aged bordeaux blend, maybe not the best fruit that's ever been pressed, but if you bought at the insanely low price that anyone in the PLCB system closed out at (~$17 per my records), you'll be extremely pleased. Very nice, and what you'd expect from a 19 year old cali bordeaux with a sweet nose and a little fruit forward left in its mature years. It's worth noting that I had to filter as the cork was not in good shape in the top half and crumbled out, but seemingly held a pretty nice seal below that.

Aromas and flavors of dried cherry, crushed fall leaves, a little leather and tobacco. Slight brown shade on the edges. Seems tight after a quick decant. Still holding up at age 18. Very dry on the finish. Food would help this out.

First flawed of three from PLCB. Odd nose vs previous and ill finish, nothing like other bottles
