In the mouth the wine, again, has spice over cherry. Medium tannins that is fine but slightly astringent and medium acid and body…Actually it's a bit medium everything with a bit of age. Meh.

Cette semaine, un excellent rosso di montalcino de Querce Bettina dans le millésime 2007. C'est excellent, se boit tout seul. Le nez est assez volatile libérant des effluves de cerise, réglisse et de menthol. en bouche on y retrouve Un vin sur la cerise, le menthol et les épices. C'est bien frais et excellent avec filet de porc mariné. La finale une petite affaire astringente se démarque par un côté amère, épicé et avec une petite note de balsamique. On en redemande.
Toujours excellent bouteille après bouteille.

Since the company drank less than assumed, I only tasted this four hours after decanting. Briefly noted: very good but sort of in-between its youthful self and real maturity; and I don't know if the latter is really a good idea.

I really love this style of Rosso di Montalcino: lovely refined and fresh with the same enticing aromas that I like so much about a good Brunello. Only then in a fresher and lighter incarnation. And this wine is in a great place right now:
Medium ruby color. Mouth watering aromas of cherry, blackcurrant and tobacco evolving with spices and hints of eucalyptus. Medium-full bodied with smooth tannins, balanced fresh acidity and dark fruit. The finish is long and remains fresh trought. It has actually gaind some complexity since last time, deserving a notch up (perhaps it belonged there all the time...) Drink now - 2015
