Beautifully made wine with great complexity, nice fruit, and medium acidity. The tannings--after 19 years--are still relatively strong. I suspect another 10 years will be needed because they are still very powerful. More recent vintages of Hobbs Cabernet have softer tannins, but these tannins are very strong. I would recommend drinking 2030 or later if you can wait. 93 points

Opened after a huge 2013 Leonetti Cabernet, which is a hard act to follow. However, the Hobbs did not falter. Easy drinking with no rough edges. Wish I had more and the money to buy it.

Still drinking nicely, but definitely needs a decant before drinking.

Plenty of ripe fruit but all in balance, drinking really well right now and probably at peak for 2-3 more years
