A matured bouquet of stewed plums and ripe black berries, smoked ham, leather, eucalyptus and black pepper on the nose. Palate is rich, smooth and deep. Nice acidity in the medium-bodied structure. Finish is a touch chalky with aftertaste of smoked spices. Ready to drink now and should keep well for the next 3 years.

Purchased on release and tasted over the years. I did rate this wine higher in the past. Vibrant and still firing on all cylinders, but the age is noticeable and ads to the whole experience. The nose is rich and powerful, showing the top class of Ausie Shiraz at it’s absolute best. Such a privilege to drink this fantastic wine. 95-97 points

Still holding a deep red in colour that is ever so lighter towards the rim. The nose has blackberry and satsuma plum with a savoury twist and leathery aspect.
This wine is a pleasant surprise, 13 years post vintage and from the vintage which is not known for its longevity.
It opens up with blackberry and drying tannins, oak is integrated and matched well with olive and dark cocoa characters.
The finish is long and drying with gentle spices. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2013-2015)

Very nice wine, lots of fruit
20.6.2015: Vanille, dunkle Beeren, Brombeeren, Johannisbeeren, etwas rauchig, leicht alkoholisch, Eukalyptus, unglaublich komplex, vielschichtig, toll!

A no-nonsense Shiraz. Perhaps gone a bit jammy but maybe i have left it a little too long. Good VFM as well.
