I must have liked this because, in spite of the high ABV, we finished it at one sitting. My wife said it's good, but it's not Zinfandel. I think it's a very particular expression of Zin, not actually jammy but big, with licorice, cherries, something a little pruney but good. It took to the oak like crazy. It still maintains some acidity and didn't overwhelm the lamb we had it with.

Terroirist Blogger Tasting (David White's House): Nose of sweet blackberries, plums, and vanilla bean. Big but not overripe. Lavish. Silky mouth feel, great acidity, long finish. A very food-friendly Zinfandel
