A dark, chewy, big & bold Aussie cab. An oaky-vanilla nose, massive cassis / blackberry palate, ending in a slightly hot to bitter finish. Not much variation, but very enjoyable if you like the style. A definite crowd-pleaser. Needs about an hour of air to really come together.

"2014" Sydney International Wine Show - stewarding notes; 10/13/2013-10/18/2013 (Blue Mountains, NSW): {screwcap, 14.5%} A big, youthful, chocolate and vanilla nose, with coconut oak. Doesn’t shout cabernet exactly, but it’s nice all the same. Full-bodied; there’s a touch of cabernet black-olive to match the ripe, spicy blackcurrant fruits on the palate. Medium acidity and medium powdery tannins round out the picture. Not too oaky, although does finish a bit warm. Fades a bit toward the back palate. Very new world, very rich, not very cabernet. Ought to age easily for another 5-8 years.
