Where's the Pinot? Jammy, overripe, overly fruity. California Syrah profile using Pinot grapes: if the label hadn't said Pinot Noir, there's no way I would have pegged this as one, as there's very little of its typical character coming through. Tasted blind, I may have had a better impression - there's some nice spice and leather in the nose, and there's decent acidity - but as a Pinot Noir, this is very disappointing.

Deep purple color, good legs. Raspberry on the nose with hint of old spice. Well balanced wine with a slight kick of spice and smooth finish.
