This is fresh, but rather on the dry side, and has a rather dry, slightly tannic finish. On the palate sone black fruit, but overall rather one dimensional. Seen the last TN from 2011, this wine seems to have been on a decline for some time now. Drink up.

My wife gave me this bottle at our second anniversary of purchasing our home in Savigny and we put it away for the 10th anniversary of owning the house and for the wine (both 2001). Part of a great celebration of food, friends, and wines that went way to late into the night for the neighbors. The wine was one of the best Savigny les Beaune's we have had in our 10 years here. It was of the fruitier style although the fruit has been joined by great leather, earth, and violets. Smooth round tannins and a good level of acidy. A great accompaniment to the fromage course. Drink it now!
