Absolutely delicious Aligote - delicate citrus and mineral - fresh with a hint of honey and surprising roundness/depth. Well balanced with a gentle creamy finish. Light but not insubstantial. Very good value. I was surprised to read Honest Bob's critical notes on his recent visit. I was in Puligny the same time as he was and drank this wine at Olivier Leflaive's restaurant the day after Bob. I can't understand why Bob didn't send his bottle back as faulty. The wine I tasted punched way above its weight considering its modest price. I bought a case and brought it home to the UK.

Burgundy in Burgundy - the good, the bad and the truly revolting; 9/13/2010-9/20/2010: SO2 on nose, chokingly so with wine in the mouth. Crisp, sharp, attractive, unripe apple fruit. Almost no aftertaste: a palate cleaner. Would be best with cassis as a Kir. 84P
