Decanted 2.5 hours and slow O another 3 hours. This showed beautifully tonight, with notes of rose petals and tar layering on top of smooth, layered black fruit and earth. With time in glass there is a suggestion of savory black licorice on the finish. Tannins completely integrated, really a very pretty wine.

WTDS at Tilia (Tilia, Mpls): Dark red color. Drank a glass over 2 hours. Same bottle as JCGuthrie, decanted a couple hours and then several hours of slow-O. Lovely nose of deep damp earth, tar and creosote, black cherry, black licorice. The palate shows earth, black cherry, raspberry, tart, tangy, black licorice, taut with a hint of roasted meat, sanguin with round tannins. Really nice showing.

Two hour decant. Still needed time in the glass to open up. Medium dark fruit. Big, slightly out of balance, and seems to still need a bit of cellaring. Very enjoyable though.

Slow ox'd for 5 hours, then poured into large burgundy glass and sipped over an hour (no decanter).
This wine is in the zone right now. Tannins are beautifully integrated, nice acidity suggests plenty of legs still.
Beautiful nose of violets and plums, got more expressive as time passed in the glass.
Dark fruits, balsamic, licorice on the tongue. Long, satisfying finish.
One of the best wines of 2020 for me thus far.
