  • One of the best Dr. Wagner Ockfener Bockstein wines I have had since the 1975 vintage. Very flowing and inviting nose of bright, sweet, fresh fruit. Glides into the mouth and fills it with tasty acidity and citrus fruit as well as a wonderfully caressing texture. Deliciously gulpable and refreshing, especially thanks to the acid balance.

  • Slightly light, but enjoyable non the less. Aged nicely, but I feel maybe this wine was a little better several years ago. Just guessing though since this is the first time I drank this wine.

  • The initially sweet nose blows off to focus mainly on the smell of wet stone and perhaps a bit of rain on hot asphalt. The palate is gorgeously balanced with perky acidity, nice sweetness, and minerality with some explosive lemon elements. This is extremely vibrant stuff that is really refreshing on the palate and finish. With hot dogs and spicy mustard this does great, but it is even better sipping it on its own.

  • This was a lovely, lovely Riesling. Pale green. A delicate nose of talcum and wet slate. On the palate this has a gorgeous balance of acidity and sweetness and literally dances on the palate. It has a beautiful mineral edge with candied lemon (I ripped this off from Pierre, but man is it true). The finish is long and subtly tangy. And of course, this got along ncredibly well with an array of grilled sausage and mustards. What a nice, nice drop!
