Not bad. A little plummy with smoke, oak and tart cherry. The finish is a little disjointed with some bitter tannins. Overall pleasant but not sure it will ever improve. Well I was wrong. I gassed this bottle and revisited it 3 days later. Now, it is a beautiful soft integrated wine. Give it a few more years and a proper decant, maybe a 91.
Green herbaceous notes coupled with jammy black (blackcurrant and plum) fruit overtones. It's all a bit out of whack and, perhaps, never going to be in whack. Double decanted an hour before consumption.
Explosive plummy fruit, blackberry, cherry, currant, oak, caramel-molasses note; a bit gooey, jammy with spice notes. Cloudy, unfiltered, rich, diffuse. Fun contrast to the Bordeaux, and even Napa cabs in this tasting. Enjoyed this wine this time. Maybe because it was freshly opened.
Quite intense, full-bodied, layers of black fruits and a touch of spice. Leafy Cabernet note permeating. Drinks very well as a fruit-driven wine but would be interesting to see what it develops into. Plenty of potential.
