I've really enjoyed the 2004 vintage of this port style dessert wine. So it was a nice to find an older vintage today in Jacksonville. A very dark and full bodied port, a nose of chocolate truffle, almonds, and deep black fruit. The mouth feel is wonderful, thick full bodied, sweet fruit, layers of flavoring, and acidic finish. Really yummy.

Tasty LBV wine. Went well with an apple cake and cranberry bread pudding. Enough acidity to carry, and not cloyingly sweet, and a fine finish to out meal.
