  • 2003 Madrone Mountain Late Harvest Port

I've really enjoyed the 2004 vintage of this port style dessert wine. So it was a nice to find an older vintage today in Jacksonville. A very dark and full bodied port, a nose of chocolate truffle, almonds, and deep black fruit. The mouth feel is wonderful, thick full bodied, sweet fruit, layers of flavoring, and acidic finish. Really yummy.

  • Tasty LBV wine. Went well with an apple cake and cranberry bread pudding. Enough acidity to carry, and not cloyingly sweet, and a fine finish to out meal.
