Bottle deg. around 2004. Nose had quite an oxidative nose. Lots of power but just showing flaws on multiple fronts. This is not a representative bottle

Deg. around 2000, old bottle with flower pattern on the label. Again signs of apples and ripe fruit. Long, mouth filling with plenty of power. Sweet and wonderful balance. Hints of almond paste in the back. Very nice Grand Cuvee. Drink now with no hurry

Light golden in color. Oxidative nose of ripe baked apples and hints of coffee. Very rich and powerful, long and shows plenty of sweetness. The acidity is still here. Already great a legend in 10 years. Rating 96+/100

Magnum Bottle, deg. August 2011. Again like many of the young Grande Cuvees this one showed also hints of apple cider and slight bread notes. Very powerful, vinous and long. Highly elegant. Nice out of the magnum

Golden in color. Oxidative nose, shows some rhum notes but also sweet rose hip jelly. Great balance and sweetness. Very long. More mature than I would have expected but drinks wonderful at the moment.

What a shame. The bottle had a slight cork. Just had the 1989 some time ago and it was a clear 95 point wine. .Despite the imperfection it was still drinkable but just not a representative bottle. Now mature with at least another decade of hedonistic drinking.

Old yellow label, deg. late 70s or early 80s. Color was quite mature. Nose was oxidative but showed many flavors ranging from bread to ripe fruit. Still very fresh and balanced. Very rich and powerful. A true beauty and still feels quite youthful. Awesome

2003 Krug Champagne Vintage Brut 92 Points
France, Champagne
Light straw in color. Nose shows caramel, coffee and smoke notes. Nice balance, elegant and long. I am missing a bit the backbone and mid-plate. Overall I expected the 2003 Krug to be heavier / richer. Still a nice wine and still youthful.
