From magnum. Rich start with lots of ripe apple with spice and floral support. Not the most powerful vintage for this wine, but near perfect harmony and grace, with a finish that just lingers, lingers, and then lingers some more.

Small glass, brief note. Ripe red cherry everywhere with subtle spice. Good balance, good length. Medium weight. 92 points tonight. I expected more, but like many 2009s, this is showing its voluptuous side clearly now but the complexity is still in the future.

Small glass, brief note. Perfumed start, showcasing a broad array of red fruit aromas and flavors with spice aplenty. Good weight, better length, this is wonderfully finessed already, a rare feat for Malconsorts.

Old School style with meaty, woodsy aromas and flavors. Still powerful with lots going on, this has a rustic, big, expanding finish that I particularly enjoyed.

Fleshy start with ripe black cherry and plum, finishing with some braised meat and mushroom. Very good concentration. Still slightly backward on finish. Good now, but better to cellar longer.

Small glass, brief note. Fresh black fruit with roasted meat, with a perfect Gevrey character, finishing with spice hints. Ripe and fun, just barely showing Grand Cru density to me.

An off bottle, seemed slightly heat damaged.

Small glass, brief note. Another very good performance for this wine. Wonderfully evolved, nicely mature with complex, layered, earthy, umami flavors. Sneaky good length. Very good now through the next decade.

Small glass, brief note. Like so many 2010, this is no powerful, but a masterpiece of elegance and balance. Almost seems simple to start, this gets bigger, bolder and denser within seconds. So long with roasted meat coming through with bolder, blacker fruit on its long finish. Just barely entering its drinking window, 93-94 point potential.

Small glass, brief note. Black and red cherry with good+ concentration, but less finesse than typical for this cuvee. Base don my previous bottle a year ago, this took hours to open and unfurl its full potential, so I remain optimistic there is further upside. But still a good 90 points tonight.

Small glass, brief note. Lush and extremely generous, this has a broad array of black and red cherry throughout with a meaty, spicy support team. Everything is well balanced now, this will easily drink well for another decade+ as it further evolves.

Small glass, brief note. Slightly more black vs red cherry here with faint spice and meat notes. Good length, just not quite as forthcoming yet as I would expect, showing a fairly firm middle and finish. Probably needs more time.

Small glass, brief note. Meaty with plenty of black fruit that is maturing gracefully. Tannins still a bit assertive, giving it a slightly off center finish, but overall good+, possibly further upside?

Late night, small glass, brief note. Completely dominating for now by its ripeness and sweetness, this is barely hinting at the complexity yet to emerge. But very dense with a long finish, so I am very optimistic, 2030 forward.

Late night, small glass, brief note. Good depth for its level, but a faint bitter note too common in some 2011s.

Late night, small glass, brief note. Good fruit concentration, as well as overall weight and length. More firm than many 2016s, making it slightly awkward, but still good.

Small glass, brief note. Still dense and concentrated, but more mature than any previous bottle, ending with a slightly bitter note. Not quite the level of fruit I've come to experience from this wine.
