Let's drink some Dauvissat! Plus a Raveneau ringer - not tasted blind, though it would have been pretty obvious, I suspect.
Think this lived up to expectations - generally excellent wines, some corked ones (we also lost a Sechet 12, that wasn't tasted except by the somm), 2014 almost painfully youthful, 2017 really charming. Great food too, especially the Sea bream.
Voting for WOTN (each person voted 3, 2, 1):
2010 Forest - 15
2014 Sechet - 11
2017 Sechet - 8
2015 Rav Foret - 8
2014 Forest - 3
2018 Fourrier - 3
2006 Pascal Doquet Champagne Premier Cru Le Mont Aimé 92 Points
France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
Le Mont Aimé is an outlying butte of yellow chalk, silex and sand that is completely different in its geological makeup than the rest of the Côte des Blancs. Organic Chardonnay, full malo, matured half in enamel and half in old oak. This bottle seemed at a lovely point in its evolution, with an aromatic, complex nose that included honeysuckle, exotic soap and a hint of cream. Both soft and energetic on the palate, with a long, lactic finish. Would have been fun to spend more time with this wine.
