The trick to enjoying this is not to look at it like its a Pinot Noir. The wine is very intense, has dark fruit, noticeable tannins. Its lovely to drink, but not if you hope for elegant pinot noir.

Brought to drink at Oinoscent during service. Decanted The wine shows bright, youthful color. The wine shows tight core of ripe fruit, cherry, berry, cinnamon candy. With time it gets earthier and spicier. Palate shows tight tannins, high acidity, freshly picked currants and cherries, medium body, mineral, juicy black cherry flavored long finish Very interesting and unique expression of a Burgundian Pinot noir. Very young as it is, needs time to come together

Simon's Dauvissat dinner (Lorne): Very dark in colour - a stereotypical 2018 red! Notes of coffee, dark berries, dusky flowers, something leathery, and Ribena. Good length. My first Irancy, and most enjoyable.
