These are just a few of the wines I was fortunate enough to taste at the gala, but only those for which I wrote a tasting note that I could still read/ decipher a few months later.
1996 Salon Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut 96 Points
France, Champagne
Small gala glass. Brilliant as ever, this is still getting better, longer, more complex.

1999 Dom Pérignon Champagne P2 92 Points
France, Champagne
Small gala glass. Bready and rich this comes across as wonderfully luxurious, perhaps just moderately exciting.

2013 Bouchard Père et Fils Montrachet Domaine 94 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Montrachet Grand Cru
Small gala glass. Rich and powerful, this is one of the great 2013s that have magically harmonized. Starts out compact, then expands and lingers. This will last a long time.

Small gala glass. Rich and even nearly fresh with so much concentration. This hasn't developed the level of complexity I would have hoped to taste.

2013 Domaine Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot 93 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Magnum I served at the La Fête du Champagne gala. 2013's emerging richness is front-and-center with so much complex elements, some sweet, some savory. Lots of density coming through. Ramonet magnums always excel with age.

Small gala glass. Rich baled apple. Voluptuous and sexy textures with powerful flavors. Not perfectly balance now, but complex and intriguing. Better to cellar.

2013 Emmanuel Brochet Champagne Les Hauts Chardonnays Extra Brut Millésime
France, Champagne
Small gala glass. Well made it in style, but a tyle too brittle and extreme for my sensitive palate.

2001 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bonnes Mares 92 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
I served this at the La Fête du Champagne gala alongside the 2006. Lean black and red cherry with lots of meat and cooked mushroom. Very good length and power, much less finessed or enticing as the 2006.

2006 Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bonnes Mares 94 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
I served this at the La Fête du Champagne gala alongside the 2001. Ripe black and red cherry with excellent density and persistence. Powerful and still nicely fresh, with some charming evolved notes emerging in the background. Great now with upside.

2019 Domaine Bizot Vosne-Romanée 92 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée
Small gala glass. A wonderful rose garden, both fresh and dried with a good array of red cherry and berry notes throughout. 1er Cru density to be, this is a great prototypical Vosne wine. so good now.
