Allright - I have hit rock bottom! Can't get any lower. Sheesh! One of the very WORST Fantasy Football Seasons in my life....and I have been doing this since around, oh, 1989-90.

Lost my 2nd QB this past Sunday. And I left all those Aaron Jones points on my bench...woulda, coulda, shoulda...

and so..... I lost my Week 7 match-up by 0.6.....so close, yet not enough.

I have the "Destroyer of QB's" curse....really wanted to pick up Alex Smith this week, but I like the Chiefs and Alex way too much to risk it...

So....I was smart enough to pick up the Baltimore Defense....unfortunately, I was NOT smart enough to start them. 29 points languishing on my bench....

Yep. Sigh....

Thank goodness for me.

This is shaping up to be a dicey week for me again (Gurly, Nelson, Fitzgerald on bye), so I can use the assistance. However, date your form of "assistance" has been to kill off the QB's of my receivers (Palmer and Rodgers). With attrition evening up the match I think you have a shot here.

Besides, everyone seems to have a good week against me. I'm 2-5 with 4th most pts scored here>>>

I I actually just picked them up an hour or two prior to game time and did start them. This at least gives me a shot as I too have a handful of guys on byes this week. Got some newbies going but who knows maybe they ll come up big.

Only help I got this week from the fantasy gods was an injury to Jordan Reed and an disaster in the rain from Kirk Cousins. Therefore:

Dear KC Chiefs .... I need you to implode on every level tonight

Dear Denver Broncos .... Bring out the Trevor Siemian that started in Weeks 2-4. Where has he been?

Dear RockinCabs ... Trust the rookie QB from Houston, even when he is playing the "Legion of Boom" (or was that blown coverage??)

Sheesh, I was looking fine going into the afternoon/evening games against Seattle Slew. Then Dak Prescott dropped a big dud (aka conservative playcalling) with the rainy conditions...

Wishing I hadn't benched McKinnon now...

Did my best job of the Year by far. Picked up Baltimore's defense right before game time, Minnesota's kicker, played a guy I've never played, Fuller from Houston, had my biggest point total by far and proceeded to get my butt kicked. I doff my cap to you Burg Slayer!

yeah it's still interesting. I'm up 23.75 points; you've got Demarius Thomas and Tyreek Hill tonight. I'd call that a coin flip, although if I was betting my nickel would go on you to win because KC is second worst against WR's in the NFL, and while Denver is very good against Wr's they are in the bottom 3rd against special teams.

My hope is that both teams see this as a clenched-jaw division rivalry and smack the snot out of one another in a 11-9 low scoring game. O/U is 43 points though, right in the middle of the pack this week, and Vegas usually get that right.

Make MNF interesting, that's for sure! Worse of luck to your squad :)

I need one point total from Alex Smith and Harris Butker to end my 3 game losing streak! So please KC do NOT implode on every level.

Well Mike that must have been a little painful. I think it was a bad omen when at the beginning of the 2nd quarter Tyreek Hill had -1 points because he THREW AN INTERCEPTION. Yep, it was not destined to be your night 😀

On the plus side we've still got amazing parity in our league - playoff spots are absolutely wide open. That keeps it fun!

159 points in one week! Wow, Burgslayer! But will Ezekial Elliot be suspended, or not?

Happy to break my losing streak, and stay in the playoff hunt.

Yeah Mark, like Mike it looked like you had the drop on your opponent but got gunned down from behind. Tough break in a weird week.

Your team is better than its record, at least in my view. I still might be interested in dealing one of my top RB's at some point for a top WR, maybe not right now but down the stretch run if we can figure out a win-win ...

Total Points after Week 8:

No change at the top of the table, but Burgslayer vaults up 8 spots to #4 with a massive week!

How long does it take a player to clear waivers? I was attempting to pick up a kicker for tonight's game but he still showing pending?

It's being reported that Deshaun Watson went down in practice with a possible ACL injury. Waiting for the MRI to confirm.

UT OH

I blame the Cerrano Voodoo Gods for paying $61 to pick up Will Fuller.

UPDATE: NFL confirms that Watson has a torn ACL and is done for the season.

I've got no knife in this fight, but that is such sad news for Watson. He was starting a Rookie of the Year straight in the eyeballs. What a shame to cut his season short.

After a player is dropped it's 2 days of waivers so multiple ppl can pick them up. The timing for when the waiver ends should show up when you look up the player.

I do, and benefit from the injury, but man you are right BRR, just such a bummer to see his historic rookie season end like this. Poor guy! And bad for football overall.

In other news the game of the week in the Rouge, where parity reigns supreme, is 3-5 Brooklyn Meat Sweats vs 3-5 Buzzkills.

These are our two basement teams. But winning this match-up might actually catapult the victor immediately onto the playoff bubble! Losing though, because of the jam up of other teams in the middle of the pack, leaves the vanquished looking way up and sliding far behind.

It's a pivotal week for these two! Good luck!

Nope - I never had Watson so it's not my fault! Whew!

To Rockin' Cabs (Blanc League) : You lost Watson and then picked up Tyrod Taylor right before the game last night. He put up 26 points - his highest total of the year! Great move!

I really thought that Watson could save my season in the back half here, so it was a huge blow. I am happy with the Tyrod pickup, but a lot of those points came in garbage time.

My receiving corps remains damaged with Jordy and Larry recieving passes from C+ QB's. I dropped Will Fuller prematurely, but that train is now surely done, and I'm sure Cerrano Voodo Gods is really happy to have blown $62 of waiver budget on him.
