Received this bottle as a gift from an amazing local real estate agent in San Francisco. Incredibly easy drinking wine right out of the bottle. Assuming it is a combo of multiple vintages, thus the NV designation. Bright cherry opening , hints of vanilla and baking spices, subtle pepper with a hint of lavender . Nicely balanced acidity with very light tannins… Drinks like a mature wine. My only critique might be a slight loss of the more rustic and thought provoking flavors I expect from a PS. Might be best to drink before a meal rather than during, so one might appreciate the subtlety of the delicate flavors. All said, well done to TedB!

opaque purple with a garnet rim. nose: initially in your face Christmas baking spices , then bright tart baked blueberry. on the palate. tart berry and bright acidity with a solid core of baking spices in the mid palate. dry and tannic. light bodied. if blinded i would have guessed a mid range pinot noir from a very cool climate. This is not what I expected from a wild blueberry wine. next visit to Maine i will need to see what else they have.

A bright ruby core leading through salmon into a clear meniscus. Scent of licorice, violets, something that reminds me of Fentimens "curiosity cola", with a hint of dark chocolate lingering in the background. On the palate the tannins are most present at this stage in it's life, it's quite dry, finishing with (as you might expect) blueberry...and that's about it initially, as the finish draws to a close there's a slight shift into blackberry and some clove. HOLD this wine...this needs at least 5-10 more years before I expect the tannin to integrate.

Was excited to try this Blueberry wine based on glowing reviews from a WineBerserker buddy and I was not disappointed! Beautiful, complex blue fruits and a very distinct 'smokey/oily' note that really adds interest. Full bodied but with plenty of acidity. Love that it's 11.5% abv as well! Excellent and very unique wine that should have a very long future ahead of it. Happy to have 2 more bottles!

A rich & full nose, a hint of heat on the nose, silly putty with an undercurrent of dark fruits. The palate is silky smooth, leading with pomegranate, cranberry, raspberry, and wild strawberry with a dry (tannic but well integrated) along the finish. HOLD for 5+ years

A Christmas Birthday Dinner; 12/25/2019-12/26/2019 (Brewer, Maine): This was opened on Christmas evening to celebrate the birthday of a friend yesterday. We had an array of amazing wines, an '05 Richebourg, a '94 Port, a Sylvaner GG, and this was the stand-out wine of the night. This was the wine that stopped everyone in their tracks. One friend at the party has 20+ years in the wine industry, another 10+ years working for both retail & distributors...and this was the clear winner of WOTN.

The wine had a faint hint of bricking and a brilliant ruby core. Scents of violets, spice, worn leather, and a whiff of red & blue fruits. The wine is light-medium bodied, with high acidity, and tannins that are slowly resolving, a little mellowed, but still present to provide the structure for this 30 year old Blueberry wine. This is as lovely, unique, and special as other dry wines that people chase today. This is a wine that has no peer for what it is at 30 years old. An enchanting, wildly complex, and truly a singular expression of just how serious fruit wine "could be" if people applied the same principles that top wineries do with fresh fruit. I feel privileged & lucky to have had this experience. This is the top of the mountain and a benchmark in the fruit wine category. I really wish I could share this with more "wine geeks". An Epic wine that words will not fully do justice.

Dinner at Home (Millbrae, CA): Light ruby; slightly oxidative, some red fruit, honeyed mint; palate is medium bodied, red fruit, currant, surprising amount of medium tannin, medium-plus acid; medium finish. Really interesting, and the only example of blueberry wine that I know of. Definitely interesting, and enjoyable. 91
Day 3: This is just as good without any dropoff. Just lovely plush fruit throughout, easy to drink but with plenty of complexity. I underrated this. 92-93

Dinner at Ashish's (Millbrae): Medium plus ruby color.
Intensely fruited - blueberries, mint, brambly dried scrubs. Subdued earthy / tertiary notes (oxidation, Brett, tamari age).

Medium plus body, feels 13.5% alcohol, good acid - medium plus, medium tannins - silky and fine-grained!

This is beautiful and persistent! Needs a bit of time to gain complexity on the palate, but a singular wine with promise.

This is so freaking beautiful...A ruby core with hints of smoke, dehydrated meats, and lilac. It's so freaking elegant and primal. The palate is smooth and the finish seems to liner with moments where is seems to fall off a cliff then climbs up again. The plate has flavors of spiced pork chop, clove, fennel, and blackberry. I could drink this wine every night...and I think I'd be far more happy with this than many other "well known" wines. Extraordinary.

This is in such a lovely space...I'm going to have a hard time not opening my last bottle. It really was all about elegance and beauty...such a lovely bottle of wine. The palate has softened a bit and the tannins seem smoother than the last time I had this, but it all really came together so well that I can't imagine it being any better. Notes of spice, beef jerky, orange zest, clove, and blackberries. The palate was just so clean and smooth...absolutely a wine of grace and poise. Smooth as silk, but framed by bright acidity & tannins that have rounded out a bit with time. The finish on this wine is long, and lovely...but it's a wine that I could drink too fast...as it's just plain delicious as well. However, there is enough complexity and depth that this is a wine that also will demand your attention and deserves thought and contemplation. One of the best wines I've tasted all this year...near perfection if not already there.

This is ready to go with 30 minutes in the decanter. An almost exotic nose rolls out of the glass. It smells larger than life as notes of charred meats, clove, raspberry, with floral notes, and herbs lingering in the background. There is a hint of something that reminds me of an oil stained garage floor that is enveloped by a lovely floral lift. On the palate this is smoother than other vintages I've had in the past and seems to spread out on the palate like when pressing chocolate to the roof of your mouth. Notes of blackberry, raspberry, and plum lead into an acid-driven mid palate explosion of kumquat/orange rind citrus and spice that leads into a long finish that leans back toward the red-fruit spectrum. Outstanding!!! This has really come together in the past two years since I last tasted it.

BARREL SAMPLE: This was the most impressive young Reserve wine I've ever encountered from this estate. This wine will probably outlive me...and anyone that was born in 2017 too. It's near opaque and while bold and robust there's a restraint and life that comes screaming out of the glass with intense floral notes of lavender and lilacs framed by a hint of charred beef, orange zest, and spice. There is just enough oak to add to the framework and brisk acidity that leaves the mouth watering for a minute or more between each taste. This is a wine to blind people that don't think they'll like fruit wines. To be released in 2020/2021. Buy as much as you can...I've preordered 2 cases, 2 magnums, and a 3-Liter. There might not be much left after friends and family snap this up...Drink the 2010 Reserve (the current release) while you're waiting for this to be ready.

Pop and pour. In the glass, dark, opaque purplish-red. On the nose, crushed blueberries all the way. On the palate, initially a somewhat offputting medicinal fruit flavor, but thankfully this blew off to reveal a complex mixture of blueberry, oak, clove, and nutmeg, with a moderately long and tannic finish. This is not your grandpa's fruit wine from the shed by any means - but it's also well off the beaten path of grape-based wines in terms of flavor profile. With that said, it worked well with the traditional Thanksgiving spread.

Pop and pour. In the glass, light to medium straw gold. On the nose, honey, pears, apple cider, and a faint hint of potpourri. On the palate, a crisp attack with pear, slate, oak, and a persistent herbal note, perhaps dried parsley? For me, this occupies some hypothetical midpoint between a Sonoma chard and a Loire sauvignon blanc.

Savory soulful dark blueberry, black floral notes, blackberry, tamari-dog fur, slight cedar oak. Savory sweet and slightly wild.
Dry, medium body, medium alcohol - feels 13% (but label says 11.5%), medium plus acid - bright and tart, medium tannins - rounded and plush. The finish is long, and has a hint of Musarian secondary development
This is so good and soulful. I love it.

This wine clearly got lost in the wine cellar, where it has lived for at least 6-7 years. While starting to show its age, it made for a beautiful pairing with a simple fruit tart. The fresh peach aroma is rich and fresh. What else can you ask for here?

A new release of this wine hit the shelves. I can't think of many wines that I get as excited to taste on release as I do with this. The nose if full of spice, some well integrated oak is present, but just below other notes of dried meats, black berries, kumquat, and clove. On the palate the wine transitions from vibrant black & blue fruits into a more earth-driven profile as notes of mushroom and wet stone linger on the finish. Another outstanding wine...

Wine, Steak, and Olympics (Home (Noe st)): This has been coravined for a few months.
Sweet slightly earthy nose of blackberry, blueberry, tamari, and roasted mushrooms. Faint hint of brett, and faint hint of oak spice. Less bretty than the '99 Musar, but there's a little present.
Medium bodied, medium alcohol, medium acid, medium minus tannins - extremely fine-grained but present.
Persistent finish that seems to go to dried blueberry and leather.

Medium ruby, slightly dull, with a red rim.
Developed nose of bruised blueberries, slight dog fur (brett), mixed with slight sweet baking spices (a little oak).
Medium minus body, moderate alcohol, medium acid, medium extremely fine-grained tannins. Oak is not that prominent on the palate.
