Still red (dark) and no sign of brown in colour, clear in the glass. Fruit had faded with a bit lingering in background. Typical Bordeaux tannins but a touch too much as fruit is not as pronounced. Old cigars, earthy fungi on nose and palate. It is exactly what an old Bordeaux tastes like. It would not be liked if one likes younger fruit driven wine. I think tomorrow it will have faded a bit. |

Some real grip in the tannins so thats expected, mixed with some great purity of cassis fruit, oak, spice, and it's all just coming together as something gorgeous and classic. Length is there. Very nice and reminds me yet again that there is great value beyond the big names in Bordeaux. It is effortlessly classy. Wish I had way more. No rush, but I would drink up in the next 1-5 years as I prefer some pronounced fruit mixing with the age. Hats off. |

Tannins are soft by this point, acidity is present but mellow, there’s a lingering finish of brown sugar, baking spice, and star anise, and it’s an almost by-the-books Left Bank Bordeaux experience. I wasn’t shocked in any way, but I did have a very nice glass of Bordeaux, and that’s nothing to turn your nose up at. |
