5/4/2024 - Jeff Leve wrote: 91 pointsJuicy, vibrant, forward, and fresh, the blackberries, strawberries, and currants, with their licorice, and tobacco edge are ripe, chewy, and vibrant. This is one of those top value Left Bank wines with character that sell for a song. Drink from 2027-2038. 90-92 Pts. |

3/14/2024 - Ben Christiansen wrote: NRWith a hint of cinnamon clove to the nose. That sense of warm spices follow through on the mid palate, and then on through to the finish as well. So tastes a little bit chipped all-in. Black forest cake on the finish. Ahh, not chipped, in barrel. |

3/9/2024 - BoxerBee Likes this wine: 91 pointsCocoa, cherry, plum, sweet pipe tobacco, and sage. The fruit is very sweet, and the tannins soft, but there is enough acidity to provide balance. Medium length. Drinks well already, but will keep well until 2035+. |

3/9/2024 - Jeff Leve wrote: 89 pointsPlums, tobacco and cherries make their presence known from the start. The wine is open, forward, medium-bodied, bright, and chewy, with a touch of green olives, dusty cherries and mint that show in the finish. Drink from 2024-2033. |

2/16/2024 - WojteG Likes this wine: 91 pointsI tried to think back as far as I can, but I don't remember drinking wine so 'loaded' with black chocolate and black coffee. No, it's not Saint Emilion. It's Haut-Medoc! After a few sips, I immediately searched the Internet for information about the composition of this wine, although I was sure that there was a lot of M, CF and PV. |

12/25/2023 - Butzemann wrote: 87 pointsD+0h: a tiny bit of deposit in the filter and also in the bottle, smells of blackberry and raspberry D+3,5h: purple red colour, smells of blackberry, violets and eucalyptus, has a little bit of residual sugar, so not completely dry, smooth in the mouth, medium body, in the mouth blackberry, violets and raspberry, in the aftertaste violets, blackberry and a little bit of acidity, good length (30 sec), good red wine, yet reminds me more of a Rioja than a Bordeaux, it’s kind of un-Bordeaux-like. With Bordeaux of that particular bottle age (six years) I would have expected aromas of forest floor or barnyard instead. |

1/24/2024 - egoya Likes this wine: 90 pointsHad two bottles at two consecutive days. The first was clearly mature, medium bodied and surprisingly good. The second seemed to be a bit too young. Rating for the first bottle. Will wait a bit with my other bottles. |

12/29/2023 - wine&roses Likes this wine: 91 pointsThis is very beautiful classic claret, rich and opulent, with some complexity. But note: it requires at least four hours airing in the decanter. Six is even better. Drunk too soon, it is overwhelmingly tannic. I expect it will be long lived. |

12/24/2023 - c.aubell Likes this wine: 90 pointsSmells of black plums, black currant, light tobacco, some leather and blackberry. Still fresh fruity taste of black fruit with good concentration and a long fruity and a light mature finish. Aired for 1-2 hours, can preferably do longer. Still high on fruit with easy maturing and strong tannins, but many years of cellaring will do this wine (and yourself) a favour. |

Super-perfumed, high -pitched, cool, and in perfect balance. Peak in 2 years. Will be great for eight. Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

11/11/2023 - Purple Tooth wrote: 91 pointsA delicious wine, in an ugly murky appearance. This is now something you drink without looking at. May I suggest plastic cups? But boy oh boy, the wine is stills delicious. So earthy, fruit rich, and extremely long and tannic. I would argue that the murkiness comes from the abundant acidity in this wine. Keeps things going, fresh, and ugly. DRINK! |
