Flowers, cigar box, currants, forest floor, smoke, espresso and cooking spice create the complex nose. On the palate, the wine is loaded with sweet, dark red berries with a hint of cocoa, soft-textures and freshness in the finish. Drink from 2024-2040.

89-91 vvPunkte Rauchige Nase, mineralisch geprägt, Kräuter, Veilchen, dunkle Beerenfrucht und eine feine Röstnote. Im Auftakt zugänglich, zeigt Druck und Körper, wirkt nicht überladen, die Gerbstoffstruktur stütz die üppige Frucht, eine stimmige Säure belebt und verleiht Zug, wirkt von A-Z ausgwogen und endet im Abgang mit guter Länge und feiner Würze. Einmal mehr sehr gelungen. 2024-2043 (April/Mai 2021)

Airoldi - Bordeaux En Primeur 2020 (Quay Restaurant, International Passenger Terminal, Sydney): Earthy, plums over blackcurrant, a little savoury spice, very slight sulphur prickle, cream, slight rusk. Juicy, fleshy, black hued fruits, soft mid palate and tannic burr, slight alcohol on the finish, approachable and shows complexity. Okay.
