As stated previously, this is a fantastic example of what Mike Smith has done with this vineyard, this Cab is very good. Visually compelling color, intense dark purple with a nice nose of violet florals. On the palate it’s nicely extracted with dark berry fruits, black cherry, currants and plum. This wine is bold with really nice flavors but the best is yet to come, it’s so young. It's suggested that you should lay this wine down for a few years for all the components to come together and I believe that to be the case. A Cab that is big, fruit forward yet smooth, ready to drink as a pop and pour, but it does gin traction with decanting/ air. 94 as a pop and pour, 95/96 with air.

Solid Cab, but nothing flashy, not sure if this is built for long haul but pleasurable every day drinker and very good QPR.
Rosé
Decent rose, but probably not my favorite, though it's for sure an easy drinker at a significant value. I think I got it on sale for under $10. Light and fresh rhubarb and a grassy minerality.
Red
Dark fruit - black cherry and pomegranate, lovely pepper, and smooth tannins.

Ripe red and dark fruit, earthy with a bit of pepper and spice, rich and silky. Approachable and enjoyable. A good village Gevrey.

Grilled duck breast in hot pepper glaze, asparagus, smashed potatoes with tapenade. The wine had great body, excellent red & black fruit, long finish. Love it!

The wine looks light gold colored. In the nose mainly honey, a hint of raisin and unfortunately a slightly musty note. The wine has typical non Goldkapsel Auslese sweetness, is rather light bodied, finishes medium and has low acidity.

Pleasant drinking wine. Dark blueberry fruit with a lot of green pepper. flavor (not a favorite Cab flavor to me). Fine tannin and a fruit/tannin finish that lasted nicely. Drinks elegantly.

Clearly over the top and very mature but still drinkable. Not without qualities and a certain charm. Best on day two after opening.
No rating.

After 3 1/2 hour decant wine showed peppery fruit and soft tannins, medium bodied. Very good. Might be near peak and can hold another year or two.

Vibrant acidity, wonderfully intense juicy rose' with strawberry/watermelon notes and a savory edge. Quite possibly the best version of this wine to date.

Not the most complex, but tasty and in a really good spot. Opened for a tasting and didn’t drink much and ended up following (and enjoying) over a solid week.

In a flight of Blaufrankish, this one I liked very much. Barnyard nose, dark fruit, earthy. Delicious.

For a 2013 Crianza, this thing held on. Fantastic bottle for the money.

This particular bottle tasted like it was poorly aged (like it spent too much time on the shelf in a wine store): it had hints of over oxidation at first. Two days in the bottle allowed those flavors to mostly blow off and the wine was soft and supple with smooth tobacco flavor and fine mild tannins.

Acacia, honeysuckle, wet rock, white pepper. Icy in the mouth, a hint of white fruit. Zingy acid. Still excellent.

Very thin; first impression is "watery". After that, pear and apple is dominant. Drinkable, but not going to repeat.

This is getting a little long in the tooth but still a very enjoyable Chardonnay. Buttery lemon, lime, and apple flavors. Crisp acidity, balanced and integrated with underlying minerality.

Solid Burgundy from a difficult vintage. Drinking well right now with 30 minute decant, doubt this will improve but should keep for 5+ years.

Finally a second bottle. Cork of conglomerate but cork after all. Slightly carbonic wine, clearly a defect according with my experience. Clean golden colour.
On the nose weak aromas of hay, saline foam or baked apple. Palate shows how a dense texture, a decent acid and an abrupt finish. Have to recognise I love Ribeiro in any circumstance, at any level.

Nearly 9 years after the prior: This has developed beautifully. Pale ruby at the rim. Essence of forest floor and savory mushrooms. Suggestions of white ground pepper. Texture is somewhat creamy, backed up by lovely acidity. Perfectly in balance. Extremely enjoyable over three nights, gas in between. We are happy to have another, and hope to wait a couple years before opening — but it’s so good now we may not resist.

Medium straw in color. Bright, energetic, with nice acid backbone. Friendly and refreshing, even though it showed a bit of heat. (Stated ABV only 13.4.) Quite enjoyable over four nights, gassed in between.

Another very good bottle. Nose of fresh blue fruits, blueberries, bacon fat, lavender and wet hemp. It was a last minute decision so it only got 3+ hours of air. It just kept getting better and better as it sat in the glass. This wine can age for many more years so I’ve tucked 6 deep in my cellar to see how it is in 5-7 years. Love this.

Continuing the theme of drinking 2003’s with my 2003 baby, legal at last. Darker gold color than most bottles, but did not seem more oxidized than it should be for the style. Delicious apple and orchard fruit, waxy, nutty, hint of petrol, dry on the palate despite the nose suggesting sweet fruit. Overalll delicious and great with our appetizers of mussels and escargot.
