Small glass, brief note. Lemon, lemon peel, some orchard on nose and palate. Medium weight, good length.

Apple and lemon with a hint of toasted almond. Very long, with a nice lean edge. 2008 base.

Still slightly reductive. Green apple with lots of power and concentration, but still backward. Mineral textures dominate the finish in a classi, elegant way I really enjoy. More floral notes emerged when open 2+ hours, making this even better.

Red fruit, spice and earth aromas that I like, followed by the same flavors but less appealing with firm tannins that will need a few more years to move past its drying finish.

Maturing Apple with nutty overtones. Somewhat powerful start, elegantly finessed finish. I liked this more when younger, but still drinking beautifully.

Tasting, brief note. Red fruit, floral and spice. Good minerally finish. Moderate depth, concentration and length, this will drink well young.

Fresh lemon with a bit of berry notes. Good energy to start, moderate length and intensity on the finish.

From magnum. Ripe stone fruit on nose and palate that starts as forward with unctuous textures, then finishes with minerality and acidity that almost come by surprise. Very good overall.

Bright red fruit aromas, slightly less robust on palate. Faint green notes on finish. Not as exciting as when tasted from barrel in 2014.

Mature red cherry with plenty of earth and a lean finish. Interesting, this was served to me in small wine glass. Those served in large Burg stems/bowls didn't enjoy the wine as much. And I didn't enjoy it as much when smelled from a Burg stem either, finding all the remaining fruit was lost.

Sweet red fruit, ripe and lush with very good density for its level. Finishes with Chambolle textures and minerality I really enjoyed.

Very similar to the Jadot 2002 CSJ we opened late yesterday. Ripe black fruit with meaty notes and Boeuf Bourgignon spice throughout. A little more spice vs the Jadot, while slightly less concentration and animale.

Small glass, brief note. Similar to when tasted at the domaine a few weeks ago. Ripe fruit throughout with faint botrytis hints that give a very non-classic character, but this finishes with polish and energy that brings us back to Chablis.

Small glass, brief note. Green apple and orange peel show moderate ripeness, but far more classic precision and concentration. Very good textures and length. A rare vintage where I prefer this Butteaux over the MdT tasted alongside.

Unmistakably Vosne in a great way, and even very typically Meo. Sweet black and red furtive with great baking spice. Everything is in harmony. Rockstar nose, very good+ palate that is very polished but slightly less nuanced.

Small glass, brief note. Lots of earth and fully mature fruit, but lots more unresolved structure. Plus a slightly hollow middle.

Cork showed some signs of leakage, which I think adversely affected what has previously been a simply great wine. Today there was just almost no remaining fruit to complement the earth and mushroom notes. Interesting and enjoyable, but frankly just hints of enjoyment.

Small glass, brief note. Very ripe and very mature, but it clearly stays on the right side of avoiding being overripe or too tired. Engaging Vosne spice with excellent concentration. One of today's most positive surprises for the better. Probably near the tail-end of its peak drinking window.

Small glass, brief note. Shockingly fresh for its age from a problematic vintage. Good balance of mature black and red fruit, earth, leather. Good density, which I'd consider great in context of age and vintage. Some awkward angles on finish, but a very leasing surprise overall.

I don't know if there was a problem with the bottle or the wine itself, but this was dirty and unpleasant.

Small glass, brief note. Glad to see it still fresh enough to drink. Lots of apple with good spice and very good concentration. There was a bitter edge, however, on the finish I just couldn't get past. Others enjoyed this more.

Ripe, dense and concentrated, exactly like when tasted last week in Burgundy. Here is the rare 2006 white Burg that has improved over the past few years, retaining its freshness and picking up nuance.

Massively reduced and completely unapproachable for now. Cellar for another decade+? Decant for several hours?

Such a pretty wine so easy to enjoy right now. Spice and floral charm with bright red fruit. Ok not particularly "Gevrey," but very charming with an elegant weightlessness and balance.
