2005 Bollinger Champagne La Grande Année Rosé France, Champagne
94 points
72%PN, 28%CH, 95%GC Vineyards, 100% Barrel Fermented. First bottle was off, no sign of TC but closed and reductive. Second bottle was very impressive. Stunning nose, roses, raspberries, rhubarb, spice and smoke. Lovely palate with a silky texture, mineral core and good acidity. Not a wine with a massive potential but a Grande Année to enjoy now! (which I did :-))

2006 Bollinger Champagne Vieilles Vignes Françaises France, Champagne
97 points
100% Pinot Noir from 3 vineyards Chaudes Terres and Clos St-Jacques in Aÿ and Croix Rouge, Bouzy. 100% Barrel Fermented, 6yrs agings prior to dégorgement. First time that VVF was presented during a public tasting in Holland. Very impressive wine with a magnificent balance between power, minerality and acidity. It just went on and on. Ripe red apple, stonefruit, brioche, truffle, hazelnut, mushroom and a pronounced limestone minerality. A baby but already drinking beautiful! Hopefully I'll ever get a chance to taste this 10-15 yr older.
Red
2012 Bollinger Rouge La Côte aux Enfants France, Champagne, Coteaux Champenois
88 points
100% PN from Grand Cru sites in Aÿ, 8mts aged in barrel. Tasted it after VVF. Reductive at first but after 5 minutes it showed bright cherries, redcurrants, roses, sweet spice and a earthy barnyard minerality. Palate is tight, good structure, young and lots of redcurrants and cherries. Quite a demanding wine with tight and acidic character, not everybody's cup of tea, especially conceiring the hefty price tag (+- €80).
