Elegant on the nose, aromas of cherry and liquorice. Very earthy. Absolutely suave on the palate, short yet savoury. Even at this level there's quality here. Present combination of excellent producer, an outstanding vintage and a minor bottle still works.

Maybe because I had highest expectations about this bottle it was nothing more than a vulgar wine without any special element to stand out.
Ripe peaches (tropical fruit for the others) and a little more. Good bitterness, nice aftertaste in a watery texture. Boring at its best.

Porque tenía las mayores expectativas sobre esta botella no fue nada más que un vino vulgar sin ningún elemento especial a destacar. Melocotones maduros (fruta tropical para los demás) y poco más. Buena amargura, buen regusto en una textura acuosa. Aburrido en su mejor momento.

Blinded tasting. Guessing it was from Jura o Friuli. Aromas of plums and red fruits of the forest. Never cherries. In the mouth a certain tendency to what a natural wine represents for its freshness and diluted texture. Nothing extracted and nothing pointy. Fairly round and balanced at this time but with acidity for a slight evolution. To me, the WOTN because its outsider character.

Catado a ciegas. Adivinando si sería del Jura o del Friuli. Aromas a ciruelas y a frutos rojos del bosque. En boca una cierta tendencia a vino natural por su frescura y textura diluida. Nada extractado y nada puntiagudo. Bastante redondo y equilibrado en este momento pero con acidez para una ligera evolución posterior.
Para mi, el vino de la noche por su carácter inesperado.

Despite tons of sediments I like this bottle. Bought in Burlingame (CA) and returned to Europe in 2008. Lovely character of violets, rotten roses and earth on the nose. Savoury yet a bit short on the palate. Nothing memorable but a honest Barbaresco. Until the last drop.

Infanticide. Just a fourteen years old bottle. A crime to a dense, complex, old school barolo. Aromas of flesh meat, plenty of earthy elements.
Hard, too hard on the palate to be enjoyed at the present moment.
Its time will come. Be patient.

This time better on the palate than on the nose. Silky texture with sufficient acidity and resolved tannins. Very nice and appetizing. Aromas of strawberries with cream, adding leather and spices. Known complexity. Definitely delicious but we've drunk a lot better even.

Softness and elegance for general surprise because of its supposed humble origin as a cooperative wine. Delicious mix of stale items with other sweets. Sensations and memories of chocolates, hazelnuts, dates and orange peel. Letting it breathe for a while alcohol is well integrated. Ready to be enjoyed.
