Flight 2 - S.C. Pannell (6 notes)

This cellar door was very busy. As soon as you try the wines you soon discover why! I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the shiraz, in particular the shiraz from Koomilya - wow. A couple of the wines were from the Adelaide Hills, but offered another glimpse of the differences between the regions. The food here was quite nice as well.

Once we were trapped behind the cellar door buses the day slowed down a bit, but was very happy with what we were able to taste. Very surprised about the calibre of the shiraz; I knew it was good, but I was blown away. Hands down - wine of the day was the 2013 Koomilya DC block, just amazing.
