Decanted after standing for 2 days. Aired for about 5 hours in decanter and drank over only about 45 mins. Expressive out of the bottle but shut down during hour 2 before blooming again at 5 hours. May have improved more with 6 to 8 or on the following day. This has been a reliable vintage for me, but I prefer complexity in the nose over dense fruit (versus 1985, for example). There is significantly more tertiary to be revealed even after 34 years in bottle IMO.
