Initially shy on the nose but opened nicely with vigorous swirling. Pretty, floral, soft palate with smoky sour cherries. Spicy and subtly sweet finish with a bit of tannic tightness. The softest and most elegant wine of the night. 91.

Darker, loads of raspberry in mouth, touch of sweetness. Bigger, more muscular side of Oregon. 89

Big, complex fruit and spicebox nose (best of the night), medium body but rich and sexy, velvety texture with sour cherries, strawberries, and the SLH acidity. This is the best pinot I've ever tasted from Gary's. 93.

Hold on to your shorts. Big, slutty fruit bomb. Rich, sweet cherries. Others liked this more than I but it was very good for sure. 90.

This is another of Adam and Diana's 'best of' blends named after their most recent child. Mostly SLH and SRH fruit although Jody said there was a touch of Willamette fruit in there as well. Vibrant cherry vanilla, silky nose. Rich, robust palate. Big without being slutty. An impeccable balance with no heat, just a tasty white pepper bite to counter the ripe and juicy fruits. Good acidity. My WOTN. 93+.

Anise & cherries on the nose. Mouth full of strawberries, leather. Smooth with subtle fine tannins. Crisp and short finish. Good but not my style. 86.

This is the one wine poured that I had tasted before. Wasn't showing as well as last time but still great QPR. Sweet syrah and peppery notes with a pleasant meatiness. 88.

Loads of strawberry on the nose. Not showing the 15.7% alcohol. Just nice acidity and sweet strawberries and cherries. 90.

The softer side of Zin. Velvety and very approachable. Blackberries and cherries and minerals. 90.

I'm a card carrying member of FM3's '05 SLH Syrah fan club and this one reminded me why. Sweet and savory, blueberries, bacon fat, peppery, a beef jerky note, and great SLH acidity. My notes say "Layers of sexiness." 92 pts.
