This is really nice. Silky smooth, good hefty zin without being too heavy. Dark purple fruit, plum, just a bit of cinnamon. A fairly big wine but not out of proportion with itself. A really solid wine and drinking perfectly right now and over the next 3-5 years.

Now mature, or early maturity at least...teenage-hood. Takes 20-30 minutes to open up, then good to go. Black olive, solid fruit. You can taste the heat of the vintage, but it's tamed. Stylistically this is between a modern old world and an old style new world wine. Soft structure, tons of fruit. Really solid muscular wine. Excellent.

This is fine but near the end of its life. Still has some acid, but the fruit energy has faded. Some of the nice floral qualities remain. Obviously carignane shouldn't be aged 8 years. Drink up.
