This was sold to me by Last Bottle as a 2002, but I can't find a vintage on the label so... WUWT?
This was fine. Plenty of acid and toast.

Auction purchase. Solid cork with 75% bleed. 15 mins of air and a nice vein of fairly persistent red fruit emerges. Clove? Fairly mature; I'd drink it now while the fruit is still there.

Purchased at winery. Crisp and refreshing if not obviously Riesling. Little petrol on the nose, may have called this SB blind.

Purchased retail in Alba, alleged to be ex-winery. Cork went to dust, but that's almost to be expected at this stage. Burnt raison, coffee, olive. Light bodied but decent length. Better than I expected after researching the vintage

A waste, really. This was a pnp, and not at all ready

in Lucerne, CH 195. Pnp, decanted, and drank over two hors: More shmutz than expetted, perfect cork. GREAT floral nose, violets. Blackberry, black raspberry, red raspberry., mineral. a touch of earth early. Considerable tannin, but with the fruit to balance it.

Auction purchase. A bit of air helped. Dark fruit and tannin. Straightforward. Last bottle may have been better

Auction purchase. Sold cork with about 80% bleed. PnP and drank over three hours. This wine was all about the nose--a kaleidoscope of smells that developed through the night--red cherry, sage, turkey stuffing (B.W.), grilled meat, barbecue. The palate was not as inspired. Some elegant red cherry and moderate length, a bit Burgundian, but not a lot of complexity and nothing to write home about. An interesting bottle nonetheless.

5 hour decant helped, but may not be enough. Nice nose, with a swirl. Subtle red cherry, dusty tannin. Simple.

Beautiful Wife does not like and accurately calls this "green". BrunelloBob is more charitable and calls this "Bordeaux before global warming."

PnP and drank from bottle over three hours
Earthy, bitter coffee, bitter cherry. The bitterness softens with air, but there's not a lot of fruit here. Disappointing

Mineral, white fruit. A hint of lemon as it warms. Inoffensive, but not a re-buy.

Better than avg NZSB. Interesting nose. Banana, kiwi, lime. Very good length.

NZSB is starting to develop some differentiation over the last 4-5 years. which is delightful.

Overbearing tannin on the pnp, softened with an hour or so of air. Big wine. Straight up dark fruit, blackberry, plumb, rust. Just a touck of eucalyptus. Years left, but may have seen too much oak.

Another witch of a cork--dry-stuck to the sides and crumbly. Apple juice with a hint of petrol. Pleasant, but not worth more than the $23 I paid for it. Not as oxidized as prior bottles

Just a hint of the stink nose we got off the bottle in 2012, and that burns off quick. Long, somewhat simpler red fruit. Beautiful Wife calls the green, I don't get it as much this time. Good wine, but not as remarkable as last bottle.
