Deep inviting red. Complexity of berries, oak, hint of chocolate. Big wine that Mesa time to open up. Definitely provide adequate time to breath.

Beautiful ruby red color. Subtle fruit on the nose. Taste is balanced with acidity and fruit. Moderate tenants, can you use a couple more years in the cellar.

Beautiful robust wine. Nice dark ruby red. Large tannins from the Petit Verdot - really needs a couple more years to mellow. Nice balance of tannins, oak, and acid. Large hit of fruit on palate. This wine screams for meat - find it a nice T-bone buddy. This is one of the cheaper wines at Foxen - get more is you have the opportunity.

Deep red but not ink red like I'm used to seeing. Actual better the second day. Aerate well. A little too acidic - slightly out of balance. Good drinker - just not great. Over priced

Solid wine. Abundant black and raspberry on the nose. Good balance and acidity. Moderate finish on the back side. Very drinkable now - likely to peak in another couple years.

Solid wine. Very dark red. Looks like it has petite Syrah in the mix. In wine, you get what you pay for. Is it really nice why but it comes at a high price. Great grapes, good color, very nice balance of acid, fruit, and taste. Consumes well now....will improve over the next few years.

Had to try early....give this more time. Abundant plum and berry with tarry under tones. Not overly complex yet. Consumed on its own after dinner. Seems it would go well with lighter meats and veggies.

PMcCullough: not as good Julia's. With that said, it's Foxen and they don't make a bad wine - at all. A very nice mello wine that would likely go well with more delicate foods.

Sisquoc's Merlot is always killer. Deep ruby red color and the distinctive earthy jam in the nose. You can never go wrong with this wine. Great with anything Italian. Had it with pizza - yummy. Lay it down a couple of yeRs if possible.

PMcCullough: another great jam bomb from TJ's. Nose is first greeted by heavy fumes of alcohol (15.6%) - common of their wine. The nose then gives way to raspberries and berry pie. Your mouth will explode with moderately smoked tobacco, oak, and jammed toast. Had this with sausage and loved it.

PMcCullough: intense right out of the bottle. Beautiful dark ruby red. Healthy infusion of oak - did the barn burn down? Oak mellows quickly and gives way to intense fruit: berries, currant, vanilla, and a hint of tobacco. Really interesting. Buying a bottle and will decant to see how it changes with time. Tannins moderate to strong - another couple years in the cellar will help.
