3/2/23, 9:19 PM - Stonestreet. Broken Road and Bear Point Chardonnay. Excellent. Reminded me of a Corton-Charlemagne.
1/17/17, 12:58 PM - Rashcar,This bottle was "Removed from a temperature and humidity controlled unit". The bottle and capsule were in excellent condition and the cork was well seated. Also, it had not bled up the cork at all. Honestly, my impression is that this was a cork/TCA issue. I do not believe it had anything to do with the handling or provenance of the bottle before or after I obtained it. There is a very distinctive musty quality to trichloroanisole as opposed to a bottle that did not age well or oxidized due to a bad seal.
2/25/16, 6:55 AM - Depends on the number of bottles you have. My plan is to drink a third of mine next year, a third in 2019 and a third in 2022. I agree that the wine will probably change more than we might normally expect from a Caymus Cab, but I don't think the change will be negative. For me, it is a tad jammy at this time. I am looking forward to the changes to see how much we 'armchair quarterbacks' get surprised.
