Whoa...definitely serve this one a bit chilled and drink up before it reaches room temperature - 16% alcohol is at least 1-2% more than necessary in my book. That said, I think it's a good wine if you like the style.

Fruit was a little too faded, with bitter tannins taking over... Slightly better with food.

Too late - fruit dried out and what´s left wasn´t very exciting.

Surprisingly fresh still, although oak and structure somewhat dominant over the maturing fruit.

In fact a lot more elegant than expected - but took over 2 hrs to open up and during that time displayed mostly tannins and considerable heat.
Red
Not overly complex - but extremely pure and just because of that a little masterpiece.

Dark purple. A bit muted initially, should have decanted at least 1hr because opened up beautifully. Perfect with flap steak, grilled vegetables and chimichurri.

Wooden notes on the nose but not much else. Fruit is gone. Dry, sharp tannins.

This lasted over 10 days in the fridge after opening - virtually unchanged!

Heavy and smoky with drying fruit, green bell pepper notes and a florally spicy touch, perhaps lavender? Too jammy and unbalanced for my taste.

Full bodied fleshy wine with dark cherry and blackberry fruit. Medium-heavy tannins. Good, but expected higher acidity which would´ve added a bit more balance.

Lovely pure beaujolais, fruity rather than spicy, very drinkable. Drank 1/3 and then put the remainder in the fridge for 3 days, added inert gas after the first day. Came out undrinkable. Note to self; don´t expect minimal intervention wines to survive in the fridge after opening.

Ok at first, except for the unintegrated 15%. Then progressively worse and worse - after a few hours became undrinkable which makes me think it was a bad bottle..?

Meh. Bitter green tannins even after a few days, little better with food but overall quite nonexciting. Nose better that palate however.

Thought the body was a little on the thin side, but with great palate evolving over 3 days. An elegant, really nice wine that's past it's peak imo.

Crisp, minerally, very fresh. The middle register is a tad on the thin side, still very enjoyable. As an aperitif or with shellfish.

Decanted for an hour, then had a glass before returning it to the bottle and put it in the fridge. Wasn´t really attracted to the very dark fruit, woody spice and harsh (almost bitter) tannins. I was truely, positively surprised on day 3 by the wine that this had turned into. Bright sweet cherry fruit, acidity in good balance and quite silky tannins. Almost elegant! Won´t open next one before 2016.

The cork broke and fell into the bottle... In spite of this the wine showed fine Bx notes and quite balanced maturity though fruit was somewhat weak.

Nice structure and composition, however the fruit fades quite quickly after opening so this might not keep for much longer..

1hr in the carafe. Initial fruit with strawberries and cherry giving way to leather, tobacco, violets, salt liquorice and some spice. Well structured, fine tannins with some grip and reasonable length. Very reminiscent of a mature Nebbiolo, drinking well now, if I had another botte I would drink it within 6 months.

Vibrant, clear, fresh fruit - just the right amount of well integrated oak notes and alcohol that didn´t show much. Positively surprised, very drinkable, would buy again.

Drank this over 3 days. Immediately accessible out of the bottle. Aromas of tropical fruit, classic Chard, subtle oak and smoky minerality. This evolved further during the first few hours, and on 3rd day the wine had developed a saltyness that was just on the right side of being too much.

Lovely wine with food or for plain enjoyment.

A great experience with scrambled eggs and fresh black truffles. On the nose, this mirrors the truffles beautifully along with roses, pipe tobacco, leather, and sweet black licorice. Medium body, fine melted tannins, quite elegant. Think it won´t keep so drink up!

Cork broke into several pieces on opening. Rich and fruity aromas balanced with careful oak and fresh acidity - but in the aftertaste a huge amount of minerals with a saltyness that unfortunately was slightly disturbing. This and the cork thing brought down the mark a couple of steps. Good pairing otherwise with lamb shanks, couscous and almonds.

In his pocket wine guide, Hugh Johnson describes Ch Cissac as "firm, tannic wines that need time". I would describe it as neither. At least this bottle, which contained a rather thin, anonymous wine that faded quickly on the palate with no chance of standing up to the fatty fare we served along with it.

This obviously differs from many others' opinion though, bottle variation?
